Manchester United are not in the race to sign talented Dutch youngster Ricky van Wolfswinkel. United had been linked with a 4m GBP move for the striker.
The Sporting Lisbon striker will be staying at the club for the time being, and van Wolfswinkel's agent, Louis Laros said: "Ricky is doing very well with Sporting and is very happy with the club, the city and the supporters. For him everything is perfect, for me this rumour is not it is not a surprise but I have not spoken with anybody.
"It is normal the kid is linked with other clubs because people watch the Portuguese Liga and as always club scouts check on the best men and today Ricky is one of the best forwards."
