Marseille plan move for Marouane Chamakh

21 October 2011 - 05:24

Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh could be heading for a January exit. Marseille have expressed an interest in the Moroccan striker, and the Gunners would accept a fee of around 6m GBP for the former Bordeaux man.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • According to reports, Marseille representatives discussed a possible move for Arsenal backroom staff after the Champions League game between the two sides on Wednesday.

The Gunners won that game 1-0, and Chamakh had no part to play. In fact he has spent the majority of the season on the bench so far.

The Gunners have reportedly grown frustrated with his lack of form and are ready to sell as soon as the transfer window reopens in January.
