James McFadden is not yet ready to return to action for the first team, according to manager David Moyes. The Scottish international rejoined his former club on a free transfer last week.
McFadden is reportedly some way off of match fitness, despite Moyes bringing the Scotsman back to the club.
"Not yet," Moyes said. "It's too early. It will be a few weeks before we consider Faddy. We won't be rushing him back in.
"He played 45 minutes last week (for the reserves) and there's no reserve game this week. We will try and get him back in but it won't be a quick thing."
