France call for postponement

France call for postponement

13 October 2007 - 09:18

France have called for a postponement for their Euro 2008 Qualifier after the team plane was unable to land in the Faroe Islands. France must win the match as they look to get their qualification hopes back on track having lost to Scotland in their previous match.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • "The federation will ask for the game to be postponed because these are extraordinary circumstances," said a source from the French Federation.

The plane was allowed to transfer to Bergen in Norway to land because of terrible weather. The French may take a ferry to get to the Faroe Islands.
