Anelka to complete China move

11 December 2011 - 04:05

Nicolas Anelka has reportedly agreed a two year contract with Shanghai Shenhua, worth a massive 200,000 GBP per week. The Chelsea striker handed in a transfer request last week, and will now move to the Chinese club for around 6m GBP.

 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • Anelka had become frustrated with life on the bench at Stamford Bridge and handed in a transfer request last week, which Andre Villas-Boas accepted.
The Frenchman hinted that a move would be agreed in the next week or so, and it appears that the striker will make a move to China, a transfer that will undoubtedly be the highest profile move involving a player joining a Chinese club.
The 32 year old rejected offers from a range of clubs including AC Milan, two unnamed American clubs and Lyon.
