Newcastle preparing Kevin Doyle offer

15 December 2011 - 17:41

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew wants to sign Wolves forward Kevin Doyle. The Toon have been searching for a replacement for Andy Carroll for over a year, and have so far failed in their efforts to land a forward that can take Carroll's place. It appears that Pardew has decided to swoop for Doyle, and will make an offer in the January transfer window.

 • A report from transferleaks.com suggests that Newcastle will make an 11m GBP bid for Doyle, but Wolves are not interested in a sale at this time.
Mick McCarthy wants to keep Doyle at the club, but according to the report Wolves may struggle as Doyle could earn a bumper pay rise at St James' Park, worth around 85,000 GBP per week.
