Steve Bruce top of Blackburn shortlist

According to reports, Steve Bruce is top of Blackburn Rovers' shortlist to replace Steve Kean. Yesterday's 2-1 defeat to Bolton could spell the end for Kean, and club owners the Rao brothers are lining up Steve Bruce as his replacement.

Steve Bruce was dismissed from his Sunderland job only last month, and replaced by Martin O'Neill; but indicated he would like a speedy return to Premier League football. According to reports, Blackburn will offer Bruce a mega money deal to move to Lancashire and a huge bonus should he keep Rovers in the top flight.<br />

Blackburn have a huge game ahead against Liverpool on boxing day, with some reports suggesting Kean will be fired before that crucial game.
