Darren Bent has been strongly linked with a move away from Aston Villa in the reopened transfer window, with Liverpool the club most keen on the 24m GBP rated striker's services. However, Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish moved quick to reject talk of a January exit.
The England international striker joined the Villains from Sunderland only last year, but has struggled to reproduce the form that made him a hero further north.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is a fan of Bent, and had also been linked with a transfer move for the out of sorts striker, but Alex McLeish rejected talk of a move away for his star striker when questioned about a possible exit: “Yes, I say that now. He won’t be leaving.”
