Pennant rules out Stoke City exit

Pennant rules out Stoke City exit

02 January 2012 - 13:53

Jermaine Pennant wnats to see out the remainder of his Stoke City contract, despite rumours of a January transfer window exit. Blackburn are amongst the clubs linked with the former Arsenal and Liverpool winger.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Pennant has just 18 months left on his current contract with the Potters, and has even been linked with a swap deal for Junior Hoilett of Blackburn.

However, Pennant wants to stay at Stoke despite the interest from other clubs: "I have a contract and I will abide by it. I have a year-and-a-half left and I will be here for another year-and-a-half. Every footballer wants to start games, but the manager has had a winning team and he's stuck to that.
