Wigan to sign Mohamed Nagy?

10 January 2012 - 15:16

Wigan are weighing up a move for Egyptian striker Gedo, otherwise known as Mohamed Negy. The Egypt international will follow in the footsteps of his hero Amr Zaki and make a move to the Premier League.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • According to Gedo's agent, Wigan are very interested in the striker and already have been locked in discussions with Al Ahly regarding a move.

"Gedo is a fantastic lad. Honest, hardworking and is a top professional," Menzo Messaoudi, his agent, said.

"His goalscoring record speaks for itself and his experience and sheer ability will benefit the right club.

"We are in talks with a few clubs at the moment, and hopefully we can bring an exciting talent to the Premier League.

"I am confident he will have a bigger impact than Amr Zaki did during his time at Wigan."
