West Bromwich Albion have made an official offer for Sunderland's wantaway midfielder Craig Gardner. The midfielder is reportedly homesick and wants to return to Birmingham.
Recently, Gardner has been in excellent form for the Black Cats, who spent 5 million GBP signing the player from Birmingham City.
WBA manager Roy Hodgson confirmed his interest: "He is a very good player, so obviously someone like Craig Gardner becoming available will alert the Midlands clubs or clubs in the near vicinity.
"But it will be a question of price and if there are clubs who think they can afford him. I don't think clubs will say, 'he is no good, we don't want him'."
