Blackburn manager Steve Kean wants to sign French forward Anthony Modeste on loan until the end of the season, after the club admitted they would not be appealing Yakubu's red card.
The Bordeaux striker is available on loan in order to garner first team experience, and Blackburn are apparently at the front of the queue to sign the 3 million GBP rated striker.<br />
The 23 year old has been locked in talks with Rovers since last weekend, and could wrap up a deal to Ewood Park by Saturday.
