West Brom demand 8m for Odemwingie

West Brom demand 8m for Odemwingie

23 January 2012 - 05:44

West Brom have slapped an 8 million pricetag on Peter Odemwingie to stave off the interest of Premier League rivals Fulham. The Cottagers have been scouring Europe for a new striker this month and have earmarked the Nigerian as a potential addition.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Odemwingie has been in inspirational form for WBA since joining from Spartak Moscow over 18 months ago, and his recent good performances has brought growing interest from several Premier League rivals.

According to reports, Championship side West Ham are also keen on the Nigerian, who assured West Brom fans last month that he is happy to stay at the club. WBA's manager Roy Hodgson has also assured club fans that there are no plans to sell Odemwingie.

However, with talk of a massive 8 million GBP being prepared by Fulham, an offer of that size could prove difficult for the Baggies to turn down.
