Everton eye loan move for Kevin Doyle

Everton eye loan move for Kevin Doyle

29 January 2012 - 11:15

Sky Sports reports that Wolves striker Kevin Doyle - currently out of the first team picture at Molineux due to the impressive form of Steven Fletcher - has been linked with a loan move to Premier League rivals Everton until the end of the season.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Toffees have made an enquiry regarding the availability of the striker, who has only played one of the last six games for Wolves. Fletcher has been impressive this year, and kept Doyle confined to extended spells on the substitutes bench at Molineux.

According to reports, Everton have already contacted Mick Mccarthy and are hoping to wrap up a move for Doyle before the end of the transfer window on Tuesday evening.

The striker could then make a permanent move to Goodison Park at the end of the season. Newcastle were linked with a move for Doyle in December, but made a move for former Freiburg striker Papiss Cisse instead.
