Arsenal scouts tracking Mario Mandzukic

30 January 2012 - 06:27

Gunners' scouts have been watching VfL Wolfsburg striker Mario Mandzukic in action, and it seems that Arsenal are poised to make a bid for the Croatian striker at the end of the season. The 25 year old is reportedly available for transfer for around €14 million.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The Gunners are currently locked in contract talks with star striker Robin van Persie, and are hopeful that the Dutchman will sign a new four year deal at the Emirates at the end of the year.<br />

However, Arsenal are not happy with the development of Marouane Chamakh and will let the Moroccan leave at the end of the year. Subsequently, the Gunners will turn to Croatian international striker Mandzukic next summer and there are even suggestions that Chamakh could be sold as part of a swap deal.
