Paris St Germain have increased their offer for Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao from £14 million to a reported £18.5 million, as they pursue the Internacional forward before the transfer window slams shut tomorrow.
The 22-year-old - capped four times by Brazil - is a long time target for Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, but so far Spurs have been unable to match the £23 million that his club have quoted.
Damiao last season scored 40 goals in 51 games for his club, and many in Brazil think that the striker is amongst the best in the country right now, but has yet to make the move to Europe because of his hefty price tag.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been scouting the forward, but Paris St Germain appear to be in pole position heading towards transfer deadline day.
