Pardew praises Cisse's Newcastle debut

06 February 2012 - 13:31

Alan Pardew admitted that he was delighted with Papiss Demba Cisse's instant impact at Newcastle. The Senegal international striker scored the winning goal at the Toon Army defeated Aston Villa 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

  • Chelsea want to sign Alejandro Garnacho for £30m?
  • Chelsea agree deal to sign wonderkid for €40m

  • Cisse scored the match winning goal and Pardew was delighted with the former Freiburg striker's instant impact: "It was boys' annual stuff, that goal. Any Magpies fan would've been nudging their mates and saying, 'We've got a good 'un here, he looks all right'.

"We have worked hard on that, we have taken our time and we hope we got it right. He has had a great start today, but that's all at the moment."
