Pardew praises Cisse's Newcastle debut

Alan Pardew admitted that he was delighted with Papiss Demba Cisse's instant impact at Newcastle. The Senegal international striker scored the winning goal at the Toon Army defeated Aston Villa 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

  • Cisse scored the match winning goal and Pardew was delighted with the former Freiburg striker's instant impact: "It was boys' annual stuff, that goal.&nbsp;Any Magpies fan would've been nudging their mates and saying, 'We've got a good 'un here, he looks all right'.<br />

    "We have worked hard on that, we have taken our time and we hope we got it right. He has had a great start today, but that's all at the moment."
