Anelka denies turning down PSG

Shanghai Shenhua striker Nicolas Anelka has denied reports that he turned down a move to Paris St Germain. Anelka left Chelsea for a move to China, and there had been some suggestions that PSG were in the race for his signature.

But Anelka denied that a move to Paris very nearly happened:&nbsp;"A friend just told me that I would have given an interview to a journalist, but I do not know to whom he spoke for info.<br />

"Regarding PSG he made his conclusions alone. Nobody at PSG contacted me. But I have to say he is right on the French mentality! So once again a great invention!"
