Carlos Vela drops Arsenal exit hint

Carlos Vela drops Arsenal exit hint

10 February 2012 - 07:28

Real Sociedad's on loan striker Carlos Vela would consider staying at the club. The Mexican forward has been linked with a return to Arsenal, but it seems the player has other ambitions.

  • Chelsea set to sign Crystal Palace star for £47m
  • Man Utd aiming to beat Liverpool to 25yo midfielder
  • Vela has enjoyed a relatively successful loan spell with Sociedad, and now wants to extend his stay in Spain.

"I would stay at Real," Vela said.

"I am happy and the people support me. I owe Arsenal affection and gratitude for the opportunity that they gave me, but I was not happy there and this affected my work.

"It was hard day to day and, when it came to training, I was thinking about going home. Here, however, I am happy and have made good friends."
