Chelsea have confirmed that club owner Roman Abramovich called a summit with manager Andre Villas-Boas and the squad after the 2-0 defeat to Everton at the weekend. The Blues have not won a Premier League game in four, and have now slipped behind Arsenal in the league table.
Andre Villas-Boas ordered his players to show up at Chelsea's Cobham training ground on Sunday morning, and Russian owner Abramovich was present to hold discussions with his underperforming squad.
The 2-0 defeat to Everton arguably was one of Chelsea's worst Premier League performances in recent years, and Andre Villas-Boas admitted after the game that the showing was the worst under his reign.
Villas-Boas remains under close scrutiny by his club owner, and there appears to be some concerns over his long term future at the club.
