The CEO of Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfgang Holzhauser, has told reporters that Michael Ballack is free to leave the club in search of first team football. Ballack, formerly of Chelsea, has been linked with a return to England.
Bolton and Liverpool are both considering a move for the 35 year old veteran midfielder in the summer, and news that Ballack could leave early will be of interest for both clubs.<br />
"Our contract with Ballack runs until June 30," Holzhauser told <em>Focus</em>. "If he wants to get out early, we can certainly discuss that."<br />
