Ex-Leverkusen boss: Podolski to Arsenal move done

03 March 2012 - 04:09

Former Bayer Leverkusen boss Reiner Calmund today announced that it is almost certain Germany international Lukas Podolski will complete a move to Arsenal in the summer, as reports suggested a 10 million Euro clause has been matched by the Gunners.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd can finally sign Ederson for huge bargain fee
  • "I would bet a fortune on it [Arsenal transfer]. I talked with Lukas during the carnival. He is fixated on clubs in England, and I believe that there is a 90 percent chance that he will move to Arsenal," said Calmund.<br /><br />"Nothing has been made official yet. Koln calculated a price of 20m euros. Arsenal, however, will not easily blow out 20m euros for a player who has just a year left on his contract.<br /><br />"Arsenal is a club with ambitions and he will explode there."
