Di Matteo: Chelsea are a global superstar

04 April 2012 - 07:56

Chelsea interim manager Roberto di Matteo thinks that the Blues are already a global super power in world football, and do not need to win the Champions League to prove their quality.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • The Blues are currently preparing for the second leg of their Champions League match against Benfica, after winning the first game 1-0 in Portugal.

"If you look at the last decade of this club, it's become a domestic and international force," di Matteo said.

"It's been always fighting for domestic trophies and titles, and internationally.

"It's never quite happened internationally, but I don't think that would take any shine off this club."
