Sven-Goran Eriksson has marvelled at the outstanding talent of Elano, who has grabbed four goals in three games for Man City. Elano has been in outstanding form for the Citizens.
Eriksson said: "Elano and Micah Richards had not done anything until the warm-up before the game.
"I asked Elano how he was. He said he was fine - and that was the case. The way he took the goal as something to be proud of.
"I was surprised at the way he shook off the jet-lag. He is a great player and is scoring important goals for us.
"Elano is proving very important for us and I don't think we've seen the best of him, but if he goes on playing like this I will be happy."
