Warnock wants Portsmouth's Pearce

13 April 2012 - 08:26

Leeds United boss, Neil Warnock, is all set to splash his cash on Pompey defender Jason Pearce. Portsmouth has placed many players in the transfer list as a way to get rid of the current financial crisis.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • Jason Pearce re-joined Portsmouth last season for a fee in the region of £500,000 and has been in great form for the Pompeys. Portsmouth is reportedly interested in selling the player at a transfer fee in the region of £1.5million.

Pearce plays in the centre-back position and is a fan favourite. He has established himself as one of the most consistent players in the team. He was given the captain's armband in the match against Middlesbrough.

Warnock said that he is looking forward to rebuild Leeds United and there would be drastic changes made to the club. The Leeds boss has identified Pearce to be the prize catch for the summer. The 24-year old is also keen to join Elland Road end of the season.
