PSG still chasing Alexandre Pato

23 April 2012 - 06:38

Big spending French side Paris St Germain are still hopeful that they can persuade Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato to move to France this summer.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • For several months, the AC Milan striker had been linked with a move to the San Siro but PSG failed in their efforts to persuade the forward.

At this time Paris St Germain have slipped further behind Montpellier; who are currently top of Ligue 1, and subsequently the capital club are now considering their options for a busy transfer window this summer.

PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti admitted that a move for Pato could be on the cards: "Pato was one of our targets in January, and remains one of our transfer targets for the future.

"It's true that he has been injured a lot, but I still consider him to be an extraordinary talent who can prove himself to everybody."
