England international goalkeeper Rob Green has told West Ham that he will pursue a new opportunity at another club, after leaving the Hammers now that his contract has expired. Tottenham are believed to be interested.
"Robert Green is a free agent he has chosen to move on. Matthew Upson did the same thing. Nobody wants Rob to leave but nothing is for ever, he must do what is best for him and we must do what is best for us," said Hammers chairman David Gold.
Tottenham are believed to be interested in the England international shot stopper, whilst Sunderland are also ready to open talks with Green.
