Brazilian international Fernandinho is on the cusp of a move to Premier League champions Manchester City, according to reports from the Ukraine.

The Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder has been one of the bright sparks of an impressive campaign for the Ukrainian side this year, and now appears to have agreed a move to City.<br />

Tottenham were amongst the clubs linked with the player, but he appears to have chosen a move to City: "I am closing a deal with an English club. I will play in Manchester in January."
