Aston Villa make massive bid for Wanyama

11 January 2013 - 06:00

Aston Villa have reportedly made an offer for Celtic defender Victot Wanyama. The Kenyan international is currently rated as one of the best players in the Scottish Premier League, and valued at around £14 million.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • In Paul Lambert's desperation to reinforce his leaky defence, the Scotsman has prepared a massive £8 million of funds to make an initial offer for the former Beerschot centre back.

Wanyama has impressed this year at Celtic, and particularly in the Champions League game against Barcelona, the 6 foot 2 defensive starlet had been outstanding.

At 21-years-old, the youngster has plenty of years ahead of him and the Villains might have some trouble luring the Kenyan to Birmingham until the end of the season.
