Wigan monitor Hiroshi Kiyotake

14 January 2013 - 06:35

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has monitoring the progress of Japan international striker Hiroshi Kiyotake. The Nuremberg forward moved to Germany last year, and has impressed in his first season at the club.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • Kiyotake previously played for J-League giants Cerezo Osaka before making the move to Nuremberg. The versatile 23-year-old is comfortable playing in either midfield or attack and there should be no issue securing a work permit for the player as he has appeared in 12 of the last 17 games for the Japan national side.

This year Kiyotake has impressed after scoring three Bundesliga goals, and the Japanese international grabbed a brace in a 4-2 victory over Hoffenheim last November.
