Newcastle chasing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Newcastle chasing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

16 January 2013 - 07:23

Newcastle have already changed their attentions away from Loic Remy, who looks set to join QPR instead of the Toon, and now have eyed Gabon international striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The St. Etienne forward has been told that he is free to leave the club in the January transfer window.

  • Chelsea set £35m price to sell 20-goal striker
  • Arsenal considered favourites to sign Leipzig striker

  • Aubameyang has been with Les Verts since 2010, when he joined on a permanent transfer from Milan, the club whom he spent his entire youth career. Newcastle have decided that the forward would offer good competition for the likes of Shola Ameobi and Cisse at the club, so a deal could be agreed as soon as late January.

The 6 foot 1 striker could be allowed to quit Saint-Etienne for as little as 4.9 million Euros.
