Bayern Munich will complete the signing of Mario Gotze from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the year, after the Bavarian side matched a $48.2 million release clause in his contract. The Germany international will make a move to Dortmund's bitter rivals prior to their UEFA Champions League semi-final.
$48.2 million is the price matched by Bayern in Gotze's contract, and the attacking midfielder has already began contract talks with the Bundesliga champions.
Gotze helped Dortmund to titles with the Dortmund side in 2011 and 2012, but this year Bayern have upstaged Dortmund into first place.
