Man Utd legend Scholes to announce retirement

11 May 2013 - 04:31

Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes will call time on his illustrious career this weekend. The 38-year-old stalwart has played over 700 games for United and will quit Old Trafford at the end of the season.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Scholes initially retired from football at the end of the 2011-2012, but in January 2012 was persuaded by Sir Alex Ferguson to return to action. Scholes has been an important part of the side that helped United with their 20th Premier League title.<br />

However reports suggest that the former England international will announce his decision to the press next week and that the home game against Swansea will be his last.
