Stoke City and manager Tony Pulis have parted company. The manager has agreed to leave the Potters by way of mutual consent. Pulis had been in charge at Stoke for over 10 seasons.
A brief statement on the Stoke City website read: "Stoke City and Tony Pulis confirm that they have mutually agreed that Tony will leave the club with immediate effect."
Pulis lost the trust of many Stoke City fans this year with his team selections and for a perceived lack of success.
Whilst many were hoping to follow the example of Swansea City, Stoke City have invested money in new players but have been unable to deliver regular success further up the Premier League table. This year Stoke finished in 13th place.
