Tottenham after Aquilani

Tottenham after Aquilani

25 October 2007 - 22:20

Tottenham are considering a January transfer move for Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani. The youngster has been a revelation in the past two seasons at the Stadio Olimpico, and Arsenal and Valencia both had summer offers for the midfielder. The player is valued at around £10m.

  • Chelsea winger suffers head injury vs Nottingham Forest
  • Man Utd star preparing farewell video ahead of transfer
  • The 23 year old has been a regular for Roma for the past three seasons, to such an extent that Totti has labelled the youngster as "the future of Italian football".

However, Aquilani has been on the fringes of the squad this season, and Tottenham are considering an enormous bid to bring the talented youngster to the club.

In 2001, when he was 16, Chelsea offered him a huge contract, but stayed at Roma as it was his boyhood dream to play at the club.

Tottenham are looking for reinforcements in January after a very disappointing start to the season.
