Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain has told reporters that he will quit Real Madrid. Higuain enjoyed a highly successful 7 year spell at the Bernebeu, and has been linked with moves to both Juventus and the Gunners.

  • Higuain is still widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world and has always expressed some interest to eventually move to England.

"I feel that my time here has come to an end and I want a change of scenery. I have experienced seven intense, tough and happy years here," said Higuain.

"It was a decision I have been thinking about for some time. It's tough, it wasn't easy to make, but I will go to another club to seek new challenges.

"My family have suffered a lot too. It's a decision the club and me took together, and I hope it's for the best."
