Chelsea linked with Wesley Sneijder move

11 June 2013 - 06:33

Wesley Sneijder, the midfielder for Galatasaray may make a move to Chelsea FC after “The Special One”, Jose Mourinho joins in for his second term with the men in blue.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • The Netherlands international claims to have been in touch with Mourinho for the past three years, ever since the Portuguese left Inter Milan to join Real Madrid.

Mourinho is said to be keen to sign his former Inter Milan disciple to Chelsea.

But like so many usual rumours and gossips every season, this may end up in a cul de sac as Sneijder affirms his faith in his present club- Galatasaray.

'We have kept in contact since our days at Inter Milan.Does Chelsea need a playmaker? I'm not sure. In football you can never be certain of what will happen next but I'm very happy in Turkey.' – Wesley Sneijder.

Sneijder, although hasn’t put a period to these speculations and has kept his options open. Mourinho will well like to strengthen the already fortified Chelsea midfield constituting the likes of Lampard, Mata and Mikel. If all goes well, we may see Chelsea snagging a golden bargain this season.
