West Ham have finally closed in on a deal for Liverpool striker Andy Carroll. The England international spent last year on loan at Upton Park and impressed the Hammers' side with his determined efforts, now the two clubs have been discussing a transfer fee for the player transfer.
Liverpool signed the player for £35 million in January 2011 and will now let the player leave after just 2 and a half years for around £16 million, a massive loss for the Anfield side who had been waiting for other offers for the striker but no other club has expressed an interest at Liverpool's desired £23 million valuation.<br />
According to the Press Association, Carroll will have a medical on Tuesday evening at Upton Park, and a deal will either be completed on the same day or Wednesday.
