Sunderland chasing Jeroen Zoet

18 June 2013 - 06:40

Sunderland have opened talks with PSV Eindhoven over a move for goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet. The keeper is being lined up as a replacement for Simon Mignolet, who this week is expected to complete a move to Liverpool.

  • The Dutch under-21 shot stopper is highly rated in the Netherlands and has also attracted the interest of Juventus and Real Madrid. However, Sunderland offer one thing the other two teams cannot; first team football on a regular basis.

Zoet has been linked with a £1 million transfer to the Stadium of Light, leaving a remaining £8 million from the £9 million sale of Simon Mignolet to spend on new players.
