Arsenal have joined the race to sign young Frenchman Benjamin Mendy from Le Havre. The Gunners have been chasing Mendy for over 18 months.

The 18-year-old left back has been impressive since his call up to Le Havre's first team back in 2011-2012 and has gone on to play over 50 games for the French minnows. Mendy has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal for nearly 2 years, but it appears Wenger will finally make a move this month.<br />

The player will be sold for a figure of around 3.5 million Euros.
