Dimitar Berbatov to see out contract at Fulham

Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov will see out the remainder of his contract at the Cottagers. The Fulham striker, 32, had been expected to sign a new contract with Fulham but his agent has confirmed his departure at the end of the coming season.

  • His agent, Emil Danchev, has been speaking with a number of other clubs and Russian side Zenit appear to be in pole position to sign the player.<br />

    &ldquo;He has another one-year contract with Fulham and he will stay at Fulham until the end of his contract,&rdquo; said Danchev.<br />

    &ldquo;He&rsquo;s happy at Fulham and he wants to stay another year. I don&rsquo;t want to comment on other clubs. Even if there is interest, he&rsquo;s happy in Fulham and he wants to stay. He will play football for at least two more years.&rdquo;
