Dimitar Berbatov to see out contract at Fulham

27 June 2013 - 05:38

Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov will see out the remainder of his contract at the Cottagers. The Fulham striker, 32, had been expected to sign a new contract with Fulham but his agent has confirmed his departure at the end of the coming season.

  • His agent, Emil Danchev, has been speaking with a number of other clubs and Russian side Zenit appear to be in pole position to sign the player.

“He has another one-year contract with Fulham and he will stay at Fulham until the end of his contract,” said Danchev.

“He’s happy at Fulham and he wants to stay another year. I don’t want to comment on other clubs. Even if there is interest, he’s happy in Fulham and he wants to stay. He will play football for at least two more years.”
