Nathan Redmond To Move To Norwich City

01 July 2013 - 19:55

Birmingham City winger Nathan Redmond has agreed to move to Norwich City in a deal that will cost the latter 3.2million pounds. It has been reported by The Birmingham Mail that Redmond will be linking up with former boss Chris Hughton.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Redmond was also targeted by Swansea City and they reportedly had their bid accepted for the winger, but the player chose to move to Carrow Road instead.

Chris Hughton was Birmingham’s boss when Nathan began playing regularly for the first-team, during the 2011-12 campaign. Hughton is being deemed as the biggest factor to have convinced the 19-year-old to move to Norwich City.

Redmond would be moving to Norwich after having gone through the formalities of a medical. His transfer is reportedly worth £2 million, with a further £1.2 million in add-ons.

It was reported earlier that a host of Premier League clubs had shown their interest in the U21 starlet. The forward has been impressive for England at this summer’s U21 European Championship, but his present owners are compelled to sell him, considering the financial difficulties they are going through.
