PSV planning Man Utd target Kevin Strootman stay

02 July 2013 - 09:22

Man Utd and Napoli transfer target Kevin Strootman will be staying at PSV Eindhoven, according to the Dutch club. The international centre midfielder had been linked with a move to United, but a deal appears to have stalled.

  • At the beginning of June, there appeared to be some truth in stories that Strootman would joined United as the odds of a transfer to Man United dropped significantly in price, and some betting agencies actually stopped taking bets on the transfer.

However, PSV have now confirmed they will be doing all in their power to keep the player at the club next season.

"We do not want to lose Strootman this summer. He knows that he will stay at PSV for another season," PSV Eindhoven director Marcel Brands said.
