04 July 2013 - 22:02

Borussia Dortmund have made their signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang public. The Champions League finalists have not disclosed the fee for the player who is set to move from Saint-Etienne.

 • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
 • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
 • Saint-Etienne club president Roland Romeyer admitted that Aubameyang had been permitted to proceed for a medical, following which a deal is to be agreed on.
"He has been given permission to attend the medical examination. The contract details and the financial plan are still to be clarified but I have no doubt that we will reach an agreement"
Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc has welcomed the Gabon international, who score 19 goals in the Ligue 1 last season. The club is looking to strengthen its attacking front after the departure of forward Mario Gotze to Bayern.
Zorc told the club website, “We are very pleased that in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang we were able to sign a player we really wanted.”
“He is offensively very versatile, has a lot of pace in his game, is a threat in front of goal and will provide us with more options.”
The prolific scorer will sign a five-year deal worth €13m and would be Dortmund’s second signing after Greek defender Sokratis. He was also wanted by Bayer Leverkusen and Premier League club Newcastle United.
Aubameyang tweeted his delight by thanking his former club Saint-Etienne and he expressed his excitement at joining Dortmund.
“Before everything I want to thank this great club of Saint-Etienne, a great family that I'll never forget," said the 24-year-old.

“Thanks and let’s go now BvB, a dream which goes on for me. Thanks lord.”
