Turkish club Besiktas have confirmed that they want to sign Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor. The forward is reportedly available for transfer and Besiktas are in pole position to sign him.
The Turkish club's sporting director, Ahmed Piper confirmed a bid had been made: "Yes, we've made an offer.<br />
‘We have made a serious bid, and that in turn has given us an idea of what Tottenham want for the player.<br />
‘Negotiations always take a long time, but I hope we will get a chance to have a meeting soon.<br />
‘Making a big signing like this would be a dream.’
