Arsenal's Maroune Chamakh on Levante's wishlist

One of Arsenal's benchwarmers, Marouane Chamakh is on the wishlist of the La Liga outfit Levante according to reports in Spain. The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is assumed to be ready to get rid of some of the dead wood around the squad.

Levante are presently trying to work out on an offer to relieve the striker's nightmare in England and Wenger would be happy to let the Moroccan go after an distraught spell with the Gunners in which he managed to notch up only 8 goals in 40 appearances over the course of three seasons at the North London club.

  • According to reports in Spain, Levante are willing to offer a fee in the range of £1 million to gain the 29 year old’s services and are also ready to make the Moroccan,their highest paid player.  

    Chamakh's contract is set to expire next season , and the forward is not willing to part with his £65k a week salary, even after the club made it clear that he is sure to warm the bench should he decides to stay at the Emirates.Former club Bordeaux and Fiorentina are also said to be interested on the player.
