Lazio Signs Felipe Anderson

09 July 2013 - 15:10

S.S. Lazio have officially confirmed the acquisition of Brazilian midfielder Felipe Anderson from Santos on a five year deal for an undisclosed fee.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The U-20 Brazil international has long been linked with a move to the Serie A outfit. Lazio have now announced his signing on their official website.

The 20-year-old made 61 league appearances for the Brazilian club Santos, scoring seven goals for them. He also featured in their victorious 2011 Copa Libertadores squad. The youngster also played for Coritiba FC but has to still make a debut for his senior international team.

Anderson hails from the Santos youth academy and made his debut for them in October 2010. He has evolved into a key player since then, attracting the interest of several European clubs.

Lazio had earlier reached an agreement for Anderson with Santos in January but the move could not be completed successfully, following complications in the paper work.
