Tottenham are edging closer to the completion of the deal to sign Belgium winger Nacer Chadli from Eredivisie Club FC Twente. The North London club have made an offer of £6million but the Dutch side are insisting that they would want an offer of atleast £7.75m to accept the sale of their talented star.
The clubs are expected to reach a compromise somewhere in between the two sums and the player is in line for a five-year deal. 23-year-old Chadli can play on either flank, versatility which is sure to appeal to the Spurs manager Andre-Villas-Boas.<br />
Swansea and Aston Villa have also shown interest in Chadli, who has dual citizenship and played for Morocco National side in a friendly before opting to represent Belgium as it was the country of his birth.<br />
Chadli has made a total of 14 appearance for the Belgian National side.<br />
Chadli will join fellow Belgians Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele at Spurs if he is able to complete the switch. <br /><br />
