PSG manager expects Edinson Cavani switch

PSG manager expects Edinson Cavani switch

13 July 2013 - 14:20

Paris St Germain manager Laurent Blanc is hopeful that a deal can be agreed for Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani. The forward will arrive at the French club this week and sign a four year contract.

  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?
  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?

  • Cavani has been linked with Europe's biggest clubs for over two years but has so far stayed loyal to his current club Napoli. However, a deal is very close to completion after PSG and the Italian side reportedly agreed a fee for a transfer.

"I hope there are no problems," PSG manager Laurent Blanc said. "But at the moment it is useless to talk about the future if Cavani is not here yet.

"I expect the player to be ours, but we will see what happens and then review it from there."
