Newcastle track Croatian youngster Ante Rebic

14 July 2013 - 05:51

Newcastle United scous have identified RNK Split striker Ante Rebic as a hot prospect for the future and could make a transfer move for the 19-year-old in the coming weeks.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • It is understood that, according to reports from Croatia, Rebic is desperate to make a move to a bigger club. Dinamo Zagreb were amongst the teams hoping to sign the player but Rebic is known to favour a move to the Premier League.

During the recent Under 20 World Cup, Rebic bagged two goals and an assist for Croatia in front of several major club scouts. Newcastle had sent their own team to watch Rebic in action and were suitably impressed.

An offer of around 1 million Euros would be enough to persuade RNK Split to sell the forward.
